Introducing Jonathan Mezibov

This fall, Jonathan Mez­i­bov joins the grow­ing num­ber of debut labels. Mezibov’s col­lec­tion is built around the premise of offer­ing men clas­sic pieces, but with a mod­ern take. Quite can­did, Mez­i­bov real­izes that this idea is the aim of many other labels, but he hopes that the “design, fit and detail of [his] cloth­ing [will] dis­tin­guish Jonathan Mez­i­bov from other menswear labels.” Specif­i­cally, the fall col­lec­tion draws its inspi­ra­tion from the late Vic­to­rian period. Mez­i­bov thought of Edith Wharton’s “The Age of Inno­cence” and imag­ined what its main pro­tag­o­nist, New­land Archer would wear. Draw­ing upon a keen­ness for style and sense of impor­tance, the col­lec­tion is shaped by its clean lines, lux­u­ri­ous details (mother of pearl but­tons, vel­vet accents, etc.), and iden­tity. The col­lec­tion of well-​​designed and tai­lored suit­ing pieces engages a strong per­son­al­ity with nat­ural con­fi­dence. These char­ac­ter­is­tics lend them­selves to a mod­ern chic col­lec­tion fit for any man worth his salt.
