Kostas Murkudis’ fall col­lec­tion packs a strong punch. Break­ing away from the pack with his use of uncon­ven­tional mate­ri­als, the Berlin-​​based designer turns to both anti-​​fit and slim sil­hou­ettes paired with a translu­cent qual­ity for an out of this world look. In rebelling against the norm, what ini­tially appears cold and dis­tant is actu­ally quite human in con­cept. Fill­ing the void of need­ing to be dif­fer­ent, the collection’s out­er­wear offers pro­tec­tion and while its unortho­dox fea­tures might keep peo­ple at bay, its reveal­ing nature invites those same peo­ple in for a closer look. Its a con­stant tug of war between mys­tery, intrigue and an explo­ration of the unfa­mil­iar. Alto­gether thought pro­vok­ing, Kostas Murkudis pushes to rede­fine prac­ti­cal­ity, while re-​​imagining the neces­si­ties of man.
