Revolve Cloth­ing has just received a fall ship­ment from Mahar­ishi.  There are many great pieces from this col­lec­tion, but the three arti­cles that fol­low are the high­lights.  Maharishi’s clothes take inspi­ra­tion from the mil­i­tary and apply it to cloth­ing designs suit­able for civil­ian work.  This col­lec­tion is about sur­vival from the ele­ments and achiev­ing this task with inno­v­a­tive unique design. These pieces have details that push the enve­lope (cloak hybrid, extended sleeve on hunt coat, boxy boy cut of hooded jacket), yet they are still highly wearable.

The Trend: Hunt­ing Games

What: Fit­ted and relaxed plaid out­er­wear with a burst of color or dulled down.  Unique flan­nel that stands out from the crowd and util­ity inspired (ie. Adam Kim­mel) pieces.  Earth toned neu­trals for bot­toms and boots rang­ing from chukkas to lace ups and pull-​​on.

With: Play with pieces, mix­ing the hyper mas­cu­line with softer fash­ion for­ward pieces.  Stick to a color palette of greens, deep blues, dark grays, and earthy browns.

I’m a sucker for plaid and Mahar­ishi deliv­ers for the fall sea­son.  Inspired by “the con­cept of mod­ern day hunter gath­er­ers, fus­ing centuries-​​old hunt­ing, cam­ou­flage and con­ceal­ment tech­niques with mod­ern day tai­lor­ing and fab­ric tech­nolo­gies”, the fall col­lec­tion offers up a plethora of notable pieces.  Take note of the col­or­way on the flan­nel shirt above and the excel­lent cut of the plaid coat fea­tured after the cut.
