Revolve Clothing has just received a fall shipment from Maharishi. There are many great pieces from this collection, but the three articles that follow are the highlights. Maharishi’s clothes take inspiration from the military and apply it to clothing designs suitable for civilian work. This collection is about survival from the elements and achieving this task with innovative unique design. These pieces have details that push the envelope (cloak hybrid, extended sleeve on hunt coat, boxy boy cut of hooded jacket), yet they are still highly wearable.

HUNT COAT
REVERSIBLE DUFFLE HOODED JACKET
Bottom Row (left to right): Attachment, Maharishi, Adam Kimmel, Yohji Yamamoto
What: Fitted and relaxed plaid outerwear with a burst of color or dulled down. Unique flannel that stands out from the crowd and utility inspired (ie. Adam Kimmel) pieces. Earth toned neutrals for bottoms and boots ranging from chukkas to lace ups and pull-on.
With: Play with pieces, mixing the hyper masculine with softer fashion forward pieces. Stick to a color palette of greens, deep blues, dark grays, and earthy browns.
I’m a sucker for plaid and Maharishi delivers for the fall season. Inspired by “the concept of modern day hunter gatherers, fusing centuries-old hunting, camouflage and concealment techniques with modern day tailoring and fabric technologies”, the fall collection offers up a plethora of notable pieces. Take note of the colorway on the flannel shirt above and the excellent cut of the plaid coat featured after the cut.
I love love love the pants featured on the right. I like the color and what I believe to be some funky shifting cord areas.
