For his lat­est col­lec­tion, Brazil’s Mario Queiroz presents a feast for the eyes of epic pro­por­tions. An earth-​​toned color palette out­fits a col­lec­tion of par­tial kilts, cloaks, knits, and out­er­wear. Queiroz’s fall col­lec­tion whim­si­cally evokes the image of the medieval knight, while play­ing with ideas of gen­der. Shapes typ­i­cally attrib­uted to women’s fash­ion exude an old-​​time sense of mas­culin­ity. This is in part made pos­si­ble by the sense of urgency that is cre­ated with the dra­matic, but solemn cloaks and par­tial pleated kilts. In addi­tion to its unique point of view, the col­lec­tion suc­ceeds in offer­ing looks for both the adven­tur­ous and con­ser­v­a­tive man; a feat that is hard to achieve as seam­lessly as Queiroz has.
