Entitled “Tales of Undefined Gravity”, Odeur’s seventh collection progresses a gender-neutral exploration of silhouettes. Unconfined and free-flowing, layers of varying length maintain a dark color palette of black and gray, accented by the occasional streak of metallic silver. From the simple tee and loosely slung knit to the tailored blazer, Odeur designer Petter Hollström makes a lasting impression with a skilled deconstruction of menswear standbys.

“Surfaces” is the fifth collection from Swedish label Odeur. For the fall season, designer Petter Hollström experimented with mixing various fabrics in order to refashion the way garments are constructed. The result is a varied collection that utilizes both shiny and dull surfaces for a range of playful, but accessible silhouettes.

Lighter and more developed than previous collections, the latest from Swedish label Odeur is appropriately titled “Light”. Inspired by sun faded lines and translucent gossamer surfaces, the ethereal collection embraces unconventional silhouettes, while still exercising restraint. Pushing the boundaries of fashion, the creations of designers Petter Hollström and Gorjan Lauseger were literally the light at the end of a dark runway. Adding volume, draping and dramatic shapes to basics, Hollström and Lauseger craft an offbeat range of blacks, whites and serene blues. Often hooded and billowing, the collection’s tops evoked the image of a modern day nomad and a sense of security. On the other hand, pants and shorts adhered to a relaxed silhouette that nicely offset the collection’s generally oversize proportions. At large, Odeur’s spring offerings interject the season and wardrobes alike with a modern spontaneity that is much needed.
