Describing Patrick Mohr’s latest collection to hit Berlin’s runway as unconventional would be an understatement. For the spring 2010 season, Mohr’s ghoulish presentation begs to ask the question, “Is the rhomboid ragpicker homeless?” Comparing an individual’s developing identity to the items a ragpicker collects on a daily basis, Mohr was drawn to an idea of progression. In this vein, street rags are transformed into garments of importance and what would otherwise be considered avant-garde fashion inspires a form of accessible streetwear. At large, Mohr creates a world that has clear intentions, yet appears foreign under the constraints of what norm dictates. Mohr’s spring collection requires the abandonment of sensibility in favor of exploring a fashion that is more accepting to difference and change.

German born model turned designer, Patrick Mohr is soon to be the subject of an upcoming feature post. Until we get a closer look at the man behind the minimalist geometric dominated line, here are images of his off season Quadrangle jeans.
