“The Philip Sparks menswear line is rooted in heirloom, bespoke techniques tailored to create a nostalgic but modern piece. Spring 2009 is inspired by the preps, the jocks, the slackers and the greasers of 50s youth. Suiting incorporates double pockets, covered buttons and India tape trim on linen and cotton. Casual pieces have a loose, athletic look and cargo pocket details. Ramie knits add a yellow accent to the collection’s white, grey and black palette.”
