Tapping Arthur Daniyarov for their spring 2011 lookbook and campaign, Ra-re showcases a clash of aesthetics for their latest collection. From the cheeky prepster to a hint of retro aspirations and bum chic, the retailer puts together an eclectic wardrobe, ready to be dissected for new spring buys.

Inspired by the synth pop of the early 80’s, Ra-re turns to photographer Michelangelo Di Battista once more to shoot their campaign featuring Eddie Tucker. Styled by Roberta Rusconi with art direction by Monica Alesina, the final editing of the studio shoot resulted in a ink splattered background modeled after one of the Human Leagues many successful music albums.

Italian label RA-RE may appear heavy-handed when it comes to their obvious intentions to stay on top of the trends, but here the work of the stylist deserves a second look. The layering of various pieces is done in abundance to the point that it needs to be scaled back, but it offers an excellent source of inspiration for turning those old pieces into something new – refreshing. In an eclectic fashion, a mix of old and new, formal and casual, etc. can be the start of a daring, adventurous look.
