A Brush with Darkness–Trimapee enlists photographer Mariah Jelena to shoot their latest campaign, featuring Six Wolves model Cody Bayliss. Outfitting Cody, Trimapee designers Mario-Luca Carlucci and Peter Strateas capture the feeling of comatose with a sterile focus on fabric and the life it inhibits. From silk voile and cashmere to virgin wool, lengthened proportions come together with sharp lines, juxtaposed with draped silhouettes. A dark vision with a hint of color, Trimapee’s man comes forth with a somber romance, shaped by modernity.

Birth–Trimapee collaborates with photographer Christian Blanchard and film director Steven Protuder to produce a gorgeous film featuring their fall 2011 collection. Letting the theme of fall’s collection, Umbilical Ventriloquial unfold in motion, the beauty of birth provides the mode for the film, which translates Trimapee’s protective layers into an ethereal sensation.

Our friends at For-Tomorrow share Trimäpee’s latest lookbook for their collection entitled “Damaged Disposition”. Moving forward with last season’s intricate ruching, but expanding the silhouette, Trimäpee sets the stage for a collection of ethereal proportions. Building upon previous elements, while also carving out a new character, the range balances practical outfitting with a more adventurous approach. While oversize draping may lend itself to a nomadic motif, fitted leather gives the collection a vital edge. Altogether, a romantic gathering of fabric meets an aggressive reinterpretation of today’s trends, whether it is in a slim-fitted pair of trousers or an extended crotch. The result is a distinct wardrobe with a piece for everyone.

Australian label Trimäpee follows a dark and lonely road for their current fall collection. Drawing inspiration from the ageless conflict of the individual succumbing to the will of the masses, the collection explores dark proportions of varying lengths. Perfect for layering, each piece comes with its own special detailing, whether it is the dramatic use of pockets, ruffles or enlarged lapels. Each can be seen as representing a corrupting outside influence. Together, the collection’s pieces form a dynamic wardrobe that breaks with the norm, while still showing some form of restraint.
