Their world may not be bent on defin­ing the future of menswear, but Uni­forms for the Ded­i­cated more than makes up for it with their sim­ple, but evolv­ing take on the worker-​​inspired aes­thetic. Fus­ing a revolv­ing num­ber of tal­ented artists with approach­able fash­ion, Uni­forms for the Ded­i­cated con­tinue their trek with a rugged spring col­lec­tion. Turn­ing a new leaf, the range of reworked shirts is improved by the com­pany of earthy knits and stern cardi­gans. Alto­gether, the range dif­fer­en­ti­ates itself from the typ­i­cal with­out stretch­ing – instead using sub­tleties to find its own unique voice.

“Sound Effects” — Uniforms For The Dedicated Spring 2009

Stock­holm based label Uni­forms for the Ded­i­cated took a unique approach for their spring col­lec­tion. Stay­ing true to their back­ground as artists of diverse back­grounds, the “Sound Effects” col­lec­tion blends fash­ion and music. The col­or­ful spring line of asym­met­ri­cal pro­por­tions is set to an exclu­sive orig­i­nal sound­track. Music from the sound­track comes on pre­loaded USBs attached to sev­eral of the collection’s pieces. Mike Lindh, a Uni­forms for the Ded­i­cated designer explained that “the design process for ‘Sound Effects’ [was] dri­ven by emo­tions com­ing alive to music. The feel is aimed to be expe­ri­enced both in the cloth­ing and music.” The first sin­gle of the col­lec­tion — “The Anthem” is fea­tured in the video after the cut.
