Marc Jacobs approaches this fall with a mil­i­taris­tic, yet styl­ish out­look. Reflec­tive of Jacobs’ own per­sonal style, this collection’s dis­tinc­tive fea­ture is the kilt like “bum flap”. This is an inter­est­ing addi­tion to a cam­ou­flage dom­i­nated col­lec­tion. Other ele­ments include extended length shirts as well as shrunken and boxy fits. Not to go unno­ticed are the mod­ern, edgy thick soled shoes. Over­all, Marc Jacobs’ fall col­lec­tion is a pleas­ant sur­prise. It encom­passes safe but styl­ish ready-​​to-​​wear pieces, while still pro­vid­ing a dose of inno­va­tion for those of us who can afford to take risks.
