Marc Jacobs approaches this fall with a militaristic, yet stylish outlook. Reflective of Jacobs’ own personal style, this collection’s distinctive feature is the kilt like “bum flap”. This is an interesting addition to a camouflage dominated collection. Other elements include extended length shirts as well as shrunken and boxy fits. Not to go unnoticed are the modern, edgy thick soled shoes. Overall, Marc Jacobs’ fall collection is a pleasant surprise. It encompasses safe but stylish ready-to-wear pieces, while still providing a dose of innovation for those of us who can afford to take risks.
