Milan Fashion Week | D&G Fall 2010

With a ski pass in hand and voluminous layering at work, D&G’s models are ready to hit the slopes. Juxtaposing a formal sensibility with the casualness of winter’s outdoor sports, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana set in motion a playful season of that caters to many functions. While ski pants and jeans are loose and low-slung, knits are either fitted or chunky for use as outerwear. Meanwhile, in a typical Dolce & Gabbana fashion, evening wear makes an appearance in a striking winter white, proving that no matter the location, the D&G man is set–even if that includes a Mickey Mouse motif.

Despite some of the calamity happening with this collection I liked what they were trying to do. They could have executed it much easier. I think they were trying to convey D&G as a brand you can layer, i/e buy more of. They just piled the clothes on, forgot the models and sent them down the runway.

I really don't get the idea of this collection. It looks confusing and I'm confused. Those baggy, shiny pants are horrible! The footwear looks really cheap to me. The outfit Simon was wearing in the really first picture is the worst of all.
I just can't rock these looks and in my opinion, I don't think anybody can.
