Sam Webb began his love affair with Dolce & Gabbana nearly five years ago, bringing an inspiring image to the designers’ vision of a strong masculinity that blends sex, style and romance into a timeless package. Appearing in countless runway shows, campaigns and lookbooks for the label, Sam has become part of the Dolce & Gabbana family, joining the ranks of David Gandy, Adam Senn and Noah Mills for a recognizable brotherhood.

Sam Webb kicked off his career with a humorous bout of jealousy and the rest is history. From Birmingham to a home with London premier agency Select, Sam had some doubts about this mysterious field called modeling, but with a great set of genes and an endless charisma, the path to success came easy.
Where did you grow up?
Sam Webb: In sunny Birmingham in England!
How were you discovered?
Sam Webb: Discovered in Birmingham in my hometown when Dounia my now agent stopped me with my girlfriend! My ex thought she was hitting on me! I had never been to London or even knew that men modeled! Ha!

This year’s final model of the month is no other than British model Sam Webb. An instant favorite of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Sam made his grand debut at the designers’ spring 2006 show and since the trio have been near inseparable. Initially discovered in Birmingham, England while shopping with his girlfriend, Sam was scouted by Select, where he remains today. Although, Sam has made appearances in GQ China, Wonderland and other publications, amongst various campaigns, it all comes back to Dolce & Gabbana, where he has maintained that special spark. Part of the label’s symbolic family, Sam has become a familiar face on and off the runway, starring in both lookbooks and campaigns.

What are you doing outside modeling?
Julian Hennig: Many things. Going out to fish and playing golf gives me great pleasure. I also do volunteering for the European University Viadrina as a student representative. Besides [that], I really enjoy going out to new bars and clubs in Berlin. My latest discovery from last weekend is a brand new little club called Asphalt in downtown Berlin (Mitte). Learning Portuguese is something else I just began and I would like to master.
How would you sum up your experience as a model?
Julian Hennig: I’ve met plenty of interesting and creative people, I would have never met if I [didn’t start] modeling. Meeting those people and experiencing work all over the world with a different set of people on a day to day basis influenced my views and personality and made my life a lot more exciting.
