Prada Playtime–Hitting the city for their playful landscape this season, Prada once again hands over the reigns of their fantasy world to art directors Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli and Fausto Fantinuoli (AMO). Working with the photography of Phil Meech, Jeroen Koolhaas and Lok Jansen contribute their artwork to a fun set of images. Featuring the models of the house’s spring/summer 2012 runway show, clad in Miuccia Prada’s retro golf-inspired ensembles, color and novel prints are partnered with quirky settings for an infectious outing.

Life of the Party–In a season about prep and pop art brought to life, Marc by Marc Jacobs delivers at the top of his class. Mature, but fun at the same time, semi-fitted silhouettes play with brightly colored suiting, while easy shorts and shirting options mesh with gym time. Marked by a turning point of a classic gray sweatshirt, furnished with a modern cut, the collection has an element of joy with infectious prints to accent another distinctly smart outing from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

The Siki Experience–Darting behind the scenes at Siki Im’s spring 2012 show, Nikolai de Vera reconnected with several of our favorite faces, ranging from Jeremy Young and James Smith to Clément Chabernaud, as they received the label’s strict makeover, aided by the styling of David Vanderwal.

Growing Up Chai–An eclectic on-pouring of loose casual looks served as the foundation for Richard Chai’s spring 2012 outing. Slouchy, comfortable and not afraid of a few wrinkles, Chai’s men donned a stable of shorting ensembles, paired with boxy tops. Mixing in vibrant colors and a myriad of infectious prints, Richard Chai delivered a youthful lineup with oversize staples, ready to be consumed.

Pastel Movement–Spring is in the air and New York Fashion Week has began. Pulling together relaxed silhouettes and a color palette that’s easy on the eyes, Steven Alan delivers a proper outing for the man of leisure as well as business. From twill shorts and semi-fitted suiting options to light-weight knits, the label curated a sharp mix of menswear classics with a contemporary cut that guides the ageless man of style. / Photos by Carl Barnett of The Fashionisto.
