Taea Thale and Jason Rider come together once more for a trends story in the latest Essential Homme. Featuring Ford models Ethan James and Aiden Andrews, the editorial pulls together spring pieces from the likes of Kenzo, Rag & Bone and Burberry Prorsum for a survey of looks that range from sleepwear-inspired to a blending of various prints.

A vision in predominantly black and gray, the Z Zegna man hit the catwalk taking on traditional separates in a refreshing young cut. Designed with room to breathe, the individual pieces hit the nail on the head with a quality that was both casual and chic. Taking the formal aspect of essentials like the double breasted coat and making it accessible with a boxy shape and a fun use of prints, Z Zegna executed several other pieces in a similar fashion. From an oversize mac coat and armor-like outerwear finishes to shrunken knits, Z Zegna showed a playful but skilled hand with the utmost sophistication.

Activewear takes center stage for Neil Barrett’s fall 2011 collection. Telling a black, white and gray story with textured lines and graphic prints, Barrett sent his men down the runway in clunky boots and technical fabrics. Playfully approaching this season’s silhouette, the collection boasted chunky knits paired with a mix of wide-cut trousers and unforgiving slim-fitted pants. From intersecting stripes and textured panels to subtle gradients, Neil Barrett’s man traversed the world of athletics and fashion for an interesting fall outing to say the least.

The Versace man subscribes to a season of texture and prints for fall’s collection. Transitioning from a futuristic focus to the label’s timeless repertoire with luxury, the dapper gentleman gets a dark update. From robe-cut outerwear with a hardened edge to leather trousers and digital prints with strong accessories, the Versace man stands apart with old age charm gone modern.

Aiden Andrews (WhyNot) had a stellar 2010 and the Kiwi with the sharp cheek bones continues to excel into the new year. Following an exclusive Fashionisto session with Omar Macchiavelli, Aiden has walked for Costume National, Jil Sander, Prada and D&G.

D&G breaks from the pack, bypassing the 70’s and looking to the 80’s for the inspiration of their candy-coated fall collection. Pure fun, the latest range excites the senses with a wide array of vibrant color and tops emblazoned with Mickey Mouse and the iconic Coca-Cola logo. Stealing a scene from Say Anything, wool coats make the perfect companion to denim and easy layered top sets. Whether comfortable in a blazer, oversize fur coat or smart cardigan, D&G delivers the right mood and style for the upcoming fall season.

Aiden Andrews was one of the finalists for VMAN and Ford’s model search. Following the competition, he was snapped up and photographed for a variety of fashion bibles, ranging from Arena Homme+ and VMAN to Dazed & Confused. He had his breakthrough when he starred in Jil Sander and Raf Simons’ fall 2010 campaigns, cementing his status as the one to watch.
