DNA–Impressive to say the least, no face goes unnoticed when it comes to DNA’s choice of boys for each fashion week. At the top of their ranks for this coming fashion week are Miles McMillan and Alexandre Cunha. While Miles is coming into his own with campaigns beginning to follow his success on the runway, Brazilian model Alexandre is having quite the blue chip season that will no doubt follow him on to the catwalk. Meanwhile, new faces Alex Hammond and Chris Petersen will no likely stand out with championed talents Bastiaan Van Gaalen, Alexander Beck and others.

Classic Flair–Italian label Canali goes the way of London for a swinging collection of sartorial proportions. Kicking off the show with a banker chic approach to fashion, pinstriped suiting and overcoats set the tone for a well-informed throwback. The Art of Racing–Brazilian race car driver Ayrton Senna served as the muse of designer Thom Browne’s latest collection for Moncler Gamme Bleu. Lending his quirky creations a new dimension, yellow, red and white dressed an entertaining wardrobe, fit for the spectator. Starting the show with padded jumpsuits and moving towards shrunken tailored garments, cheerful suiting separates championed Browne’s race car driver. Eventually arriving at his signature palette of gray and navy, volume-induced jackets, long coats as well as layered cold-weather essentials completed another season of fun for the beloved designer.

Bottega Veneta Fall/Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

Total Look–Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier aimed to complete a total look for this season’s collection. Examining proportions and fit from head to toe, the latest range came together as final products, a couple of steps removed from the initial inspiration source. Playing exquisitely with graphic shapes in this aspect, complementary colors melded together as abstract shapes dissected Maier’s alto familiar canvas. However, taking a step into the future, a little rebellion surfaced with treated finishes and a hint of leather, being pieced together for outerwear adornments and eventually the season’s standout trousers.

Frankie Morello Fall/Winter 2012 | Milan Fashion Week

Excess to Light–Frankie Morello takes their man on a journey for the fall/winter 2012 season. Showing the latest collection in three different stages, a moment of excess represents hectic city life, complete with materialism. Richly adorned, tapered suiting sets the ground work for an exploration of self, translated into subtle gradients followed by exotic prints. Paired with charming boots, a more casual wardrobe emerges as shorts, shirting and lightweight jackets make a bold move against the season cool. Evolving into the utmost stage of simplicity, colors and prints eventually give way to a more quiet dimension, illustrating the season’s final canvas.
