Eyewear Attraction–Russian model Arthur Kulkov stars in the spring/summer 2012 eyewear campaign of American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger. Joined by all-American beauty Jacquelyn Jablonski, the couple has been captured by the lens of photographer Craig McDean, delivering a relaxed and almost intimate outdoor image.

Arthur Knows Best–Request model Arthur Kulkov distances himself from his gray surroundings and simply catches our eye as he’s donned in Louis Vuitton looks for the latest issue of GQ Russia. Photographed by Tony Kim and styled by Kim Jones, Arthur tries on a clever appeal to both the white-collar elegance as well as casual look, fashioned in vibrant plaid and a tailored suit.

English Rooting–Looking for the foundation of his fall/winter 2012 collection, Simon Spurr turned to images of London by Robert Frank. Taking into account early twentieth century style and heading down a modern course, references that include Tommy Nutter’s reinterpreted suit of the 1960’s come into play as Spurr dissects suiting for a relevant edge. Bringing together rich burgundy, brown, navy and other solid colors for a collection dressed in plaids and tweeds, subtle updates were introduced. From leather trousers and a magnified hounds tooth print to a signature penchant for fabric insets, Simon Spurr’s latest efforts resulted in a sound showing, highlighting a sartorial flair juxtaposed with modern sentiments.

Ol’ Santa Fe–Adapting his prepster uniform with the typical cheek one has come to expect of Band of Outsiders, designer Scott Sternberg visited the southwest for the inspiration of his latest showing. Set under the watercolor painted sky, Sternberg’s platoon came out to play with all their smarts on display. From evening wear to daily essentials, a collection dressed in rich hues and accented with Navajo-inspired prints delighted. Sleepy loungewear provided the quiet counterpart to more polished numbers, rounded out by blazers, crewneck sweaters and fitted shirting. Meanwhile, corduroy reared its head with pants and jackets adding to a classic Americana image. Incorporating quilting and shearling, carefully constructed outerwear added a tough exterior to more gentle touches such as tassel adorned knitwear. Altogether mixing garments of a subdued mood with louder statement pieces, Band of Outsiders delivered their finely tailored aesthetic with a splash of southwestern nostalgia to color the season.

Request–Turning to photographer Stefani Pappas once more to capture the creative for this season’s show package, Request lends their boys a little edge with a subway shoot — not that they need it. With regular bad boys Yuri Pleskun and Cole Mohr available for the fashionable plunge, Request keeps their board in top shape. There’s the always popular David Agbodji, the strapping Arthur Kulkov as well as standout up and comers, ranging from Misa Patinszki to Baptiste Radufe. Add to the mix, a fast-rising Jesse Shannon or recent Request recruit Willy Cartier and you have an agency packing solid muscle, the fashion variety if course.

The Hilfigers / Part I–Marcel Castenmiller, Andre Douglas, Max Rogers, Noah Mills and Sam Way are back together once more for Tommy Hilfiger, this time around joined by Arthur Kulkov. Photographed by Craig McDean with styling by Karl Templer, the lot take in the great outdoors for a camping trip, marked by khakis and camouflage adorned separates.

Arthur Kulkov broke into the fashion world with three campaigns for the fall 2008 season including Barney’s, Original Penguin and Russell & Bromley. He also made an appearance in Vogue US that same season. Born in Russia, Arthur became the face of Banana Republic spring 2010 and Dolce & Gabbana fall 2010 campaigns. He has walked for D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano and several other labels. Recently, Arthur made history appearing as one of the first male models on the cover of Detail’s March 2011 issue alongside Noah Mills and Sean O’Pry.
