Benoni’s World–Ilaria Orsini photographs the infectious Benoni Loos for the latest edition of Spray magazine. Dressed in cool blues from the likes of Marni, Stone Island and Dries Van Noten, the Major Paris model hits the town with a peculiar quality in toll.

Browne Extravaganza–A friend to general nonsense, Thom Browne finds the inspiration for this season’s spectacular staging in imagery from the cabaret. Adorning his trademark suiting with fringe and lengthening silhouettes, only to be finished with long beaded stands of pearls, an audacious collection finds its voice in striped abnormalities. From high structured sleeves to wide shapes or jilted proportions, Browne tests the line of reasonable more so than ever with a lineup that still manages to pack an impressive tailored line alongside the bridal veil.

A Place in the Sun–Warm thoughts of 1960’s Hawaii and the gorgeous images from the portfolio of Slim Aarons inspire a tropical getaway for the latest Kenzo collection from Antonio Marras. Embarking on a charming tale, a general relaxed silhouette takes priority as a myriad of prints lend the range its spirit. From stripes and floral prints to polka dots, the Kenzo man enjoys some time off in a wonderful array of blue, green as well as fuchsia. Showcasing tailored staples, ranging from the double breasted jacket and pleated suiting shorts to semi-fitted trousers, Marras once again demonstrates a leveled hand, employing a concept and sound construction side by side with great results.

day 2 of paris men’s fashion week started for me with issey miyake showing at their paris headquarters on the very charming place des vosges …
i had already been told that there would be no backstage access at all so got to the venue ahead to the show time hoping to catch a couple of guys outside of the venue; unfortunately for me (and for you), either the models were so well treated that very few felt like escaping even just for couple of minutes or most of them were just sleeping while waiting for the show to begin because of a very early call time, so i only managed to snap very few guys including benoni loos and george barnett before the 1st guests arrived …
just like yesterday for the mugler show i was then thinking i’d be able to sneak into the backstage after the show to take a couple of atmosphere pictures but again it was a no since the label’s staff was already clearing the space without any delay to make room for imminent sales appointments … not much luck either with models rushing out after the show except for guntars asmanis and isaac carew who didn’t have to run to the next …
sorry guys if it wasn’t a very successful one but it’s not always easy to work out a behind the scenes story when you can’t actually go behind the scenes and you are not there to play the street-peeper just like all those the sartorialist wannabes chasing the attendees !

One Life to Live–Kris Van Assche looks to the laid-back lifestyle of Los Angeles for his latest collection to hit the catwalk. Calm, cool and collected, Van Assche’s idea of youth translates into relaxed suiting for those initial steps of maturity. Constructed from lightweight cotton and linen, the loosely slung lineup delivers the usual suspects with an effortless attitude and this season’s print of choice – the pinstripe. Adding great subtleties like volume in the sleeves, button detailing or curved hemlines to a fluid range, Kris Van Assche’s men are ready to bask in the eternal sunshine of California.

Honorary Brit Collective–The boys of Burberry Prorsum spring 2012 perfect the game of patience backstage at the label’s recent Milanese show.
