My Fair Lads–Peter Stanglmayr photographs DNA models Miles Garber and Charlie Westerberg alongside Wilhelmina’s Matthew Hitt for a new story in Remix magazine. Reworking Menswear–Slowly unraveling classics and creating a modern wardrobe of great relaxation, Yigal Azrouël set his latest collection to the tune of revamped accents. Turning out a range where the casual components easily melded with more fashion-forward staples, Azrouël’s idea of spring came to fruition with a multi-faceted man of style. Taking easy ready to wear pieces like the sweatshirt and merging it with strong garments like the leather jacket, the first of many hybrids was born. From athletic-geared trousers and tops to more business-prone jackets, complete with relaxed tailoring and color blocking, the season delivered an enormous selection of strong standbys.

Modern Prep–Tommy Hilfiger updates his signature American look with spring’s pop art inspiration. Infusing the latest lineup with camouflage prints and bright bursts of color, Hilfiger turned out a jovial tale for his sharp suited lad. From blocks of stripes to the fitted varsity jacket, a smart array of relaxed separates came together with a magnetic appeal, furthered by the effortless cool of chambray pieces as well as an influx of leatherwear.

International Flair–General Idea takes on a preppy note for the spring 2012 season, bringing a certain vibrancy with a spirited color palette. Vacationing in France with shorted suiting looks and bursts of turquoise as well as orange, the Korean label juxtaposes a sharp philosophy with a relaxed attitude. With the likes of double-breasted blazers made sporty with drawstring accents, shirting is deconstructed with prints for a continued laid-back streak. Rounding out nautical pairings with stripes and color blocking, General Idea charms with a mix of approachable separates and an infectious motif.

The Sporty Youth–Referencing young London for their signature take on relaxed tailoring, Duckie Brown took to the spring season with a hip streetwear vibe. From voluminous coordinating separates, cut from nylon to suiting and other casual pieces, brought together in the same fabrications–an easy blend between everyday essentials and more formal attire reigned. Bringing a somber affair of gray and neutrals to a close, light-weight ensembles completed a dream, accented by charming rose prints.
