Translating Travels–Laying out carpets for eclectic travels, Y-3’s youth geared up for an adventurous fall/winter 2012 showing. With less attention on the obvious sports appropriateness of the label and more focus on tapping into Yohji Yamamoto’s unique design aesthetic, relaxed silhouettes opened the door to romantic layers. Blended with an urban twist, baggy fits culminated in accessible garments decorated with engaging prints. Built on a range of billowing trousers, casual shirts played the laid-back companion piece to jackets and coats, constructed as that perfect finishing piece. From structured blazers accented with printed strips to a jacket, cut from buttery soft leather or an oversize boxy coat, Y-3 approached the season with a cool aptitude, delivering a contemporary flair, laced with a stylish finesse.

DNA–Impressive to say the least, no face goes unnoticed when it comes to DNA’s choice of boys for each fashion week. At the top of their ranks for this coming fashion week are Miles McMillan and Alexandre Cunha. While Miles is coming into his own with campaigns beginning to follow his success on the runway, Brazilian model Alexandre is having quite the blue chip season that will no doubt follow him on to the catwalk. Meanwhile, new faces Alex Hammond and Chris Petersen will no likely stand out with championed talents Bastiaan Van Gaalen, Alexander Beck and others.

The New York Cool–Isaac Weber (Ford), Cole Mohr (Request), as well as DNA models Dominique Hollington and David Gandy prepare to get jazzy, dropping by New York City’s legendary Radio City Music Hall for the Ansons fall 2011 campaign. With the boys suited up in their fallwear featuring ritzy suits, opulent ties and casual knitwear, Ansons delivers this season with a timeless collection.

Classicism–Wilhelmina model Vladimir Ivanov and DNA’s Dominique Hollington come together for an outing, courtesy of Dockers. On the run and donning a casual wardrobe, fall is in full effect as the pair bundle up in knits. From beanies and button-downs to their signature khakis, Dockers provides the quintessential Americana essentials.

In Arms–Bringing together tools picked up at both Versace and cult-favorite Cloak, Alexandre Plokhov presents his spring 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week. A combination of military aspirations and architectural inspirations, structure reigns as dark as well as light separates come together to form quite the distinct uniform. From youthful sportswear to more tailored jackets and shirting, Alexandre Plokhov marries concept and a functional vision for a varied spring offering.

Dominique Hollington’s career was sure to be red hot after being an exclusive at Givenchy in spring 2009. Bookings were stacking up in a short time from several publications including 10 Men, i-D, GQ UK, Vogue Hommes Japan, GQ Italia and Man About Town. Campaigns did not take long to come either and soon Dominique became the face of Puma and Gap. He has walked the runways of Versace, Thom Browne, YSL, Thierry Mugler, Z Zegna and Jean Paul Gaultier.
