
Reinterpreting the early 90’s, Filippa K attempts to create a new minimalism with their spring range. Breaking from the prim and proper, the Swedish label embraces wrinkled garments for a casual mood. With influences as diverse as the military and the iconic artist David Hockney, Filippa K mixes prints, large and small with smart staples for an accessible spring outing.

Soaking wet from early spring showers, Wood Wood’s man gets an interesting treatment for their latest collection. Mixing highly stylized streetwear with a fashionable take on the misfortunes of unexpected weather, whimsical pieces come together for a spring outing that finds itself to be both accessible and imaginative.

Destroyed stockings and socks completed the uniform of David Andersen’s man for the spring 2011 season. Embracing black and exposed zippers, asymmetrical lines encompassed an upset of the classics. A little scattered but nevertheless interesting as an aesthetic, David Andersen showcased a range that was heavy on leather and sheen, but light on feel with an absolute test on the boundaries of the silhouette.

By the shape of things, Damir Doma’s sense of seasons is not typical, but the designer does put on a beautiful showing of draping. Dressed in shades of brown and gray, his men made their way down the catwalk in tightly edited ensembles catered to the showing of Doma’s shapely outerwear. Next on the radar were clean oversize proportions for trousers and shorts alike that found harmony with the natural finishes found in loosely draped shirting. Altogether appearing like a chapter torn from a desert adventure, Damir Doma executed a collection of monochromatic layering that delighted with construction, poise and style.

Fitted and boxy like usual or wide and flared for a change, Raf Simons mixed up the usual this season with a clean collection that showed off his penchant for impeccable cuts. Offering a seamless transition from classic suiting to a modern choppy wardrobe of varying proportions and fits, Simons celebrated his fifteen year anniversary with a forward looking collection that also managed to pay tribute to his impressive body of work.

Jakob Hybholt was unstoppable during the spring 2010 season. He walked a staggering number of sixteen shows including Prada, Lanvin, Raf Simons, YSL, Jil Sander and Z Zegna to name a few. Soon after, Jakob was booked to become the face of D&G and Topman for fall 2009. Best known for his boyish charm, this young Danish has appeared in Wallpaper, Metal, 10 Men and Vogue Hommes International. Jakob snagged a Uniqlo campaign and a feature in Burberry catalog for spring 2010 and is continuing to make his way to the top of the industry.
