The genius of Juun.J falls somewhere in between the modern appeal of his garments and the timeless grace with which his creations move. For the spring season, these attributes were felt as usual in the draping, but contrasted by the strong tailored structure of jackets. Exuding a look of protection, but creating fragile sheer layering with a relaxing refinement, Juun.J continued a natural progression that made a bold move to the biker jacket and quite the finish with electrifying numbers.

Embracing a cool color palette and letting out the shape for a baggy urban look, Francisco Vanbenthum poured on the quirks with an iridescent showing of proportion play. While several shirting options came across as fabric loosely draped without much form, the collection retained structure with tailored jackets before gaining relaxed momentum with billowing pant silhouettes. Less constrained than previous seasons, Francisco Vanbenthum curated a nonchalant series for one of the most casual uniforms come next spring.

Dries Van Noten sullied up his image for the spring season. Creating a street gang of relaxed proportions, the designer turned to bleach as this season’s main source of print work. From shirting and denim to pants, a clean canvas was dressed with the spontaneous resulting in a new look for Dries Van Noten’s much applauded man of sophistication.

Neil Barrett gives his men marching orders for the spring season. Embracing a color palette that transverses the spectrum from dark to light, the Neil Barrett man is put through the ringer with interesting militaristic influences. While epaulets are an obvious, soft leather is worked in magically to compliment sheer slouchy tops and a playful presentation of pre-wrinkled fabrics. Altogether, Barrett pieces together a cohesive narrative that ranks his man at the top of the class.
