WhyNot–Moreso than ever, it is a season of stars for WhyNot. Serving up a fair share of the top models to hit the Milanese catwalk, the agency boasts leading men, ranging from Noah Mills and Arthur Kulkov to Sam Webb. From the buzzworthy Mugler muse Rick Genest and stars in the making such as Bo Develius, WhyNot fills their ranks with runway sensations that include Taylor Fuchs as well as popular models, ranging from Francisco Lachowski to Burberry’s leading crop, noted by and Jacob Young. With iconic faces such as David Gandy and Tyson Ballou rounding out the pack, WhyNot can do no wrong this show season.

One of the most anticipated shows to hit Milan each season is none other than Dolce & Gabbana and WhyNot has the honor of housing the label’s go to men, ranging from spring’s campaign stars that include Sam Webb, Tony Ward and Noah Mills to Adam Senn. Then take into account a Brazilian model or two and the agency furnishes the ever popular Francisco Lachowski or simply Chico. From rising stars such as Guido Carminatti and Christopher Landon to models quickly becoming a dominating force, from Sebastian Sauve to Aiden Andrews, WhyNot will be well represented on each and every catwalk with great ease.

Romain Kremer’s latest show was not safe by any means for those prone to seizures. Initiated by the strobe light effect, Kremer’s spring collection was caught somewhere in between a psych ward and the unappreciated life of a city worker. Making their entrance under a black light, Kremer’s men sported fluorescent colors and body conscious silhouettes. As the show progressed, the audience sat privy to Kremer’s world in which snaps, zips, pants that may be too tight and provocative cut-outs prevailed. Mixing a little quirk, some crazy and a fashionable stamp of approval, Kremer stretched the imagination once more and entertained the senses.

Showcasing a clean contemporary lineup of clothes for the well-polished man, Smalto offered a fine lesson on tailoring, complemented by the subtle drape. Exuding the lightness of the season as seen in earthy hues, the collection made an understated move with garments that appealed to rational sensibilities, while also demonstrating a creative spirit that is tapped into the times.

for autumn/winter 10 – 11, smalto’s young creative director youn chong bak invites us on a sensory journey in the asian steppes and presents a collection with a radical bias inspired by traditional ancestral treasures …
the anchor of the collection lies in the natural elements, far from any urbanity and architecture … youn chong bak was also inspired by mongolian history and heritage through details found in typical clothing … she tried to transcribe the conquering spirit, rituals and festive warmth that emerge from this culture …
true to the smalto man, the journey exudes an air of mystery … the infinity of the landscape deepening the urge to devour the space … the near and distant ravel in the same immediate perception …this magnetic experience, where solitude is essential, invites self-reflection … an atmosphere favourable with the shamanic spirits reigns … appeasement is at the end of the journey …

Boasting a roster of established and up-and-coming models from Shaun Haugh to Chris Pulliam, the men of Success Models are ready to work the spring runways of Milan and Paris. Hopefully, we’ll see them working some seasonal brights!
