Minimal Unrest–Disrupting the lines of Patrik Ervell’s trademark suiting, disruption set in with the label’s hero striking a chord for rebellion. Weaving in garments that surprisingly gave the collection an urban edge, Ervell’s man marched on as quilted outerwear took up the part of protective gear and technical fabrics caved into the modern age. Echoing militant sentiments with pieces swaying from structured and fitted to loose, a range that included sharp shirting, a grounded series of trousers and an evolving array of jackets stole the show, setting the tone for a serious fall with an eye for strong style.

I Love Models Management–Boasting one of Milan’s largest men’s boards, complete with its fill of recognizable talent, casting directors easily have their hands full when it comes to I Love Models Management’s fall/winter 2012 show package. Beginning with classic favorites, I Love brings forth Lenz Von Johnston, Chad White and others, while in the new face department there is Louis Mayhew, Jacob Morton as well as additional talents of interest. Peppered with a recent talent explosion, there is the in-demand Bastiaan van Gaalen or Lanvin dancing man, Milo Spijkers. Bringing up the notables with Brazilian regular Douglas Neitzke or intriguing developing talent Hampus Lück, I Love Models Management has the winning formula to quite the busy fashion week.

Boys on Film–If we went back to school, we’d likely be that annoying overachiever and we wouldn’t have it any other way. New Models on the Block–Red Citizen and Aim provided our next round of new faces. Right off a freshman debut in Europe for fashion week, the fast rising Chris Colton brought an easy intensity mellowed by a natural quirk. Meanwhile, there was the general freshness of Louis Mayhew with a unique appeal. Adding to the mix a platinum blond, Lance R. made a sound impression for the day, while Seven possessed in addition to looks, a refreshing charm. / Photography by Nikolai de Vera.
