Patrik Ervell Fall/​Winter 2012 | New York Fashion Week

Min­i­mal Unrest–Dis­rupt­ing the lines of Patrik Ervell’s trade­mark suit­ing, dis­rup­tion set in with the label’s hero strik­ing a chord for rebel­lion. Weav­ing in gar­ments that sur­pris­ingly gave the col­lec­tion an urban edge, Ervell’s man marched on as quilted out­er­wear took up the part of pro­tec­tive gear and tech­ni­cal fab­rics caved into the mod­ern age. Echo­ing mil­i­tant sen­ti­ments with pieces sway­ing from struc­tured and fit­ted to loose, a range that included sharp shirt­ing, a grounded series of trousers and an evolv­ing array of jack­ets stole the show, set­ting the tone for a seri­ous fall with an eye for strong style.

I Love Mod­els Man­age­ment–Boast­ing one of Milan’s largest men’s boards, com­plete with its fill of rec­og­niz­able tal­ent, cast­ing direc­tors eas­ily have their hands full when it comes to I Love Mod­els Management’s fall/​winter 2012 show pack­age. Begin­ning with clas­sic favorites, I Love brings forth Lenz Von John­ston, Chad White and oth­ers, while in the new face depart­ment there is Louis May­hew, Jacob Mor­ton as well as addi­tional tal­ents of inter­est. Pep­pered with a recent tal­ent explo­sion, there is the in-​​demand Bas­ti­aan van Gaalen or Lan­vin danc­ing man, Milo Spijk­ers. Bring­ing up the nota­bles with Brazil­ian reg­u­lar Dou­glas Neitzke or intrigu­ing devel­op­ing tal­ent Ham­pus Lück, I Love Mod­els Man­age­ment has the win­ning for­mula to quite the busy fash­ion week.

Casting Call: New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 Edition | Chris Colton, Lance R, Louis Mayhew & Seven by Nikolai de Vera

New Mod­els on the Block–Red Cit­i­zen and Aim pro­vided our next round of new faces. Right off a fresh­man debut in Europe for fash­ion week, the fast ris­ing Chris Colton brought an easy inten­sity mel­lowed by a nat­ural quirk. Mean­while, there was the gen­eral fresh­ness of Louis May­hew with a unique appeal. Adding to the mix a plat­inum blond, Lance R. made a sound impres­sion for the day, while Seven pos­sessed in addi­tion to looks, a refresh­ing charm. /​ Pho­tog­ra­phy by Niko­lai de Vera.
