The Perfect Pair–Donning the perfect pair of jeans alongside flannel shirts, fitted blazers and casual outerwear, Andrew Jones and Marcel Castenmiller stay in style with a laid-back approach for Japanese-label Right-On’s fall 2011 lookbook.

Reworking Menswear–Slowly unraveling classics and creating a modern wardrobe of great relaxation, Yigal Azrouël set his latest collection to the tune of revamped accents. Turning out a range where the casual components easily melded with more fashion-forward staples, Azrouël’s idea of spring came to fruition with a multi-faceted man of style. Taking easy ready to wear pieces like the sweatshirt and merging it with strong garments like the leather jacket, the first of many hybrids was born. From athletic-geared trousers and tops to more business-prone jackets, complete with relaxed tailoring and color blocking, the season delivered an enormous selection of strong standbys.

The Delightful Tide–Washed out but nevertheless striking, the boys of Diesel Black Gold arrived for an aquatic affair brought to land. From oversize, loose outerwear to metallic pants, paired with more formal pieces, Diesel brought an interesting vision to life with a sharp number of ensembles, narrowed down for precision. However small the showing, treated leather, cropped jackets and halved sleeves, zipped or unzipped provided a feast for the eyes with a number of standout garments for the upcoming season.

Lounge Daze–A maven when it comes to prints, Timo Weiland works his magic for an infectious spring 2012 outing. Hitting the catwalk this time around, Weiland manages a palette of subdued colors with a joyful appetite. Exuding a relaxed sophistication with separates that range from easy jackets and loose shorts to semi-relaxed outerwear, it’s a picnic at the park for the happy spring character.

Print Cycle–His ‘n’ Her looks dominated the catwalk for Custo Barcelona’s bold spring 2012 showing. Digital prints, acid washes, shimmering fabrications and sheer assets marked an eclectic range for those that like to be seen. Loud, but ready for constant transitions, Custo Barcelona’s lineup, consisted of tanks, shirting and jackets, providing for easy spring/summer layering with modern fits.

The Well-Proportioned Times–Robert Geller takes his signature style and reinvents the wheel with a new focus on shape and proportions. Working in leather and mesh as well as a seasoned color palette of subdued hues, Geller gradually transferred the focus from soft tailoring to ensembles with a little edge. From a relaxed double-breasted jacket to a cropped coat or parka with ballooned sleeves, the outerwear did a great deal of the work in a collection where layered shirting took on an easy pacing. Whether it was a button-down with small lapels, a boxy short-sleeved number or a lengthened mesh top, Robert Geller’s latest collection resulted in a spring collection that juxtaposed a modern sophistication with an effortless cool.
