Opening up the second day of Milan Fashion Week, Bottega Veneta continued a colorful trend for the upcoming season. Piecing fall’s collection together with an industrial concept that saw the mixing of fabrics to complete several of menswear best standbys, the label maintained a certain playfulness with a hint of technicolor. Grounded by structured suiting and showing an untamed side with leather crumpled trousers and jackets, the latest outing from Bottega Veneta answered the call of the changing consumer. From the dark trenches of black to the vibrancy of orange resina, Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier crafted the ideal blending of ready to wear fashions and challenging fragments of the modern man.

John Varvatos turns back the hands of time and sends his men down the rail with a hip new collection that delights in its raw edges. Unlocking a wealth of styles, Varvatos ventures to the dark west for a leather clad look, trimmed with fringe and attitude. From the delectable rebel to a hint of the vagabond, fall’s collection entices the young with a sophistication born from the same vision that courts some of rock’s greatest icons.

Looking ahead to fall 2011, Costume National masters the beauty of simplicity. Honing in on suiting, outerwear and fine knits, the label turns out a dark wardrobe with autumn hued accents for an accessible yet chic approach to the new season. Altogether, while dynamic tailoring made for a striking uniform of suits, knits of mohair added the special final touch, highlighting stripes and irregular shapes for a distinctive collection trademark come next fall.
