The Man of Tomorrow–Simon Spurr took his knack for suiting and sought out a modern spin for next spring’s wardrobe. Moving between bold graphic tees and tailored wears, charged by the times, Spurr sent his man in a new direction. Merging the elements of a sartorial gent with those of a free-spirited youth, an energetic lineup come together with a refreshing quality. Trimmed and paneled with leather, from shoulders to sleek detailing, jackets were inspiring, while mesh tops as well as varying proportions told a tale of exploration for the Spurr man. Demonstrating a well-studied hand, two aesthetics, timeless and contemporary were melded together for an enticing spring outing.

Master Class–Masterfully evolving and refining his vision of men of intellect and wisdom, Siki Im ventures into new territories of sophistication for spring 2012. With cleaner lines and sleeker tailoring fused with the label’s trademark deconstruction and loose silhouette, Im’s scholarly gentlemen is reinvented with new minimal sensibility and modernity. The pairing of a sharply constructed blazer with billowing trousers results in a dichotomy of traditional and contemporary elegance. Exuding an organic and effortless sartorial flair, an ease of craftsmanship is cultivated with restraint and control.

The Siki Experience–Darting behind the scenes at Siki Im’s spring 2012 show, Nikolai de Vera reconnected with several of our favorite faces, ranging from Jeremy Young and James Smith to Clément Chabernaud, as they received the label’s strict makeover, aided by the styling of David Vanderwal.

Matvey Power–Matvey Lykov covers the latest issue of Hunter magazine, photographed by Bruno Werzinski. Wearing fall garments from Dior Homme, Matvey takes it easy for a nonchalant piece, styled by Ray Tetauira.

4 Times Square–Making history, DKNY staged their spring 2012 presentation at the NASDAQ Marketsite building. The first menswear collection shown at the facility, DKNY’s men came to impress. Taking on the charisma and sharp styling of significant business icons from the big screen, the label’s man fell into a stride with grays and blues, dressing sharp suiting and everything in between. While slim-fit structured pieces summed up a sophisticated portion of the new collection, a relaxed nature set in with basics, delivered as trench coats, knits, light-weight jackets and other easy staples. Extended into pureDKNY’s lineup, light smooth colors came into play with an equally laxed state of style. Momentous and making for quite the statement, DKNY brought together their best attributes for a season to remember. / Photos by Carl Barnett of The Fashionisto.

A Little High & Low–Aiden Andrews, Julien Quevenne, Matvey Lykov and Vinnie Woolston are out in full force for this month’s edition of GQ France. Hitting the streets in sharp tailored garments from the likes of Paul Smith and Dunhill, the divine lot are photographed by Sven Baenziger and styled by Samantha Hughes.

Matvey Lykov was not only an exclusive for Jil Sander in Fall/Winter 2008 and Spring/Summer 2010 but he also opened and closed both seasons. He even starred in Jil Sander’s Fall/Winter 2008 campaign. Quite the impressive start onto the fashion scene for this young Russian. Matvey went on to star in campaigns for Gucci, Barney’s and Wooyoungmi. He is best known for his high cheekbones and strong nose.
