The Spring Caravan–The classic tale of east meets west provides the landscape for Etro’s spring 2012 collection. A season of great contrast, the soft attributes of paisley printed silk and chunky knits is met with strong lines offered by tailored suiting. Layered to perfection and infused with romance, Etro’s spring lineup matches the fluid with a masculine discourse. From wispy fabrics and structured jackets to a loafer for all occasions, Etro delivers a refined outing that boasts a great palette of prints as well as colors for next spring.

Man About Italy–The Iceberg gentleman never strays far away from the sartorial elegance of sportswear and this season proved to be no different. Setting out to embrace a youthful and masculine sensibility, designer Paolo Gerani looks to an effortless approach to modern Italian dressing. The collection was a showcasing of wardrobe staples at its finest with casual knits, relaxed suiting and buttery leather jackets in muted tones of dust grey and deep navy with hints of golden yellow and poppy red.

The Citizens of Armani–The Emporio Armani man never sacrifices style and masculinity for comfort and this season was no exceptions. Billowing suiting and trousers of loose proportions in a muted palette of smokey grey, midnight blue and teal offered an understated luxury. Subtle gradations and textural graphics were imprinted on to a fine selection of luxe fabrics ranging from soft linens blazer and silk shirting to buttery leather outerwear. Altogether, the latest lineup was a classic showcase of the beautiful and masterful craftsmanship that is signature to Armani.

The Net–Italian label Dolce & Gabbana crafts a web of a season for their spring 2012 collection. Seeking to interject tailored menswear with a fashion-forward concept, the latest range looks to meshed textures for a signature look. From casual shorts and hooded tops to more striking suiting, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana demonstrated a playful hand this season. While crisp suiting made an appearance, the relaxed nature of silhouettes and inclusion of fun separates, ranging from the jumpsuit to barely there jackets made for a fresh outing, coupled with style and substance.
