Scholarly Days–Dsquared² designers Dan and Dean Caten send their boys back to school for the fall/winter 2012 season. Bringing smarts to their signature staples, loosely slung denim was paired with light layers consisting of leather jackets, sweatshirts, button-downs and sweater vests. Accessorized with newsboy hats, duffels and backpacks, the season’s theme was a no-brainer. From goody two shoes prep to the sartorial bad boy, Dsquared² packed an easy punch with a relaxed wardrobe that eventually transitioned into more polished garments. Still applying their own handiwork to eveningwear, denim and sequins collided for a cheeky finish.

Turning out a sporty take on the blazer, a cropped fitted number with minimal detail makes for the quintessential aspect of modernity, followed by unlikely pieces paired together that make for phenomenal looks. From a sharp overcoat, layered over a zippered turtle neck to paneled attachments, blending the woven with more polished fabrications, Costume National Homme remains true to their heritage, revealing a collection with the utmost ease yet a desirable cool.

Pavel Baranov made his runway debut in fall 2010 and has become a regular face. He has walked for Rag & Bone, Robert Geller, Davidelfin, Salvatore Ferragamo, Z Zegna, Patrick Ervell and Phillip Lim. After his appearance in the fall 2010 presentation for DKNY, Pavel became the face of the label’s spring 2011 lookbook. He has appeared in GQ Style Germany, Popeye and Twist.
