
Giving his tendency for fashionably chaotic collections a rest, Yigal Azrouël took a minimalist approach to the spring season with boxy silhouettes and a cool color palette. From the simple top complemented with a graphic nature to trousers cut at the ankle or light to the point outerwear, Azrouël proved that he can execute a clean chic collection and still make it exciting.

Lazy days loomed over the latest showing from Band of Outsiders. In an all to appropriate fashion, long lines of guests were eventually met with a lounge worthy collection that took garments out of the bedroom for a day to day casual look. Much like revisiting college days past, the range embraced a carefree attitude with a myriad of drawstring shorts, tees and button-downs. For a label known for its sharp suiting, designer Scott Sternberg managed to make his signature garment relaxed as well for a uber cool season of comfort.

Showing up in top form for an editorial of all the generations are Genaro Perez, Tommy Herd, Iian Leas, Christopher Wetmore, Jordan Coulter, Micky Ayoub, Paul-Anthony Nicastro, Philip Huang, Juan Heredia, Damon Tolstoy, Mike Dale and Edward Putnowicz.

While castings are in full effect for New York Fashion Week, DNA beats the rush and releases this season’s show package. Boasting a great number of familiar faces, ranging from Philip Huang and Josh Beech to Charlie Westerberg, the agency also has its share of up and coming models to Taras Koltun and Peter Bruder. Rounding out the lot with welcomed returns such as Lasse Pedersen, who has been away at school and campaign stars that include Marcel Castenmiller and Mark Cox, DNA will no doubt take a significant bite out of the Big Apple this season.

Everyday life goes on untouched by fashion week, but if you happen to find yourself in Milan or Paris during the special occasion, look hard enough and the models have taken to the city in masses, whether it is leaving show venues, grabbing a quick bite, hanging out or en route to their next destination.

Coinciding with Z Zegna’s genius use of color, Ermenegildo Zegna’s spring outing turns up the hues, yet manages the bold variety with a certain maturity. Contrasting Zegna’s fine degree of structured tailoring, the collection’s outerwear take a more relaxed path with a number of easygoing parkas making an appearance alongside relaxed trousers. Ultimately safe but attractive, Ermenegildo Zegna unveils a sound collection.
