Patrik Ervell may have his young men clearly defined in a neat package, but that did not deter the models backstage from abandoning their characters for an impromptu photo-op with Shannon Sinclair. And just in case you missed the boys in fine form on Ervell’s runway of newspapers, click here for the review.

Cautious of a runway made from Financial Times that wore away as the show progressed, Ervell’s man took a step back with a modest proposal for the season. Following an exploration of innovative fabrics and imaginative silhouettes, Patrik Ervell returned to the label’s core with a tightly reigned in lineup of his signature suiting and sportswear. Revolving around a streamlined tale of menswear with an eternal spirit of youth, Ervell took to the season with a pure vision that poked fun with the unexpected, whether it was a soundtrack of rap or an obvious symbol with no meaning.

Not too far of a cry from Tim Hamilton’s early spring looks, the latest from the designer continues in the direction of elongated proportions with an ease and finesse. Sportswear refined, Hamilton crafts a season of leisure with a neutral color palette, elasticated waists and slouchy tanks. While the designer has mastered casual, the collection still showcases a penchant for relaxed tailoring with well-proportioned shirting and trouser options.

Red models Will Lewis and Silviu Tolu invite you into Kirt Reynold’s brief stint backstage at the Billy Reid presentation.

A certain awkwardness and an undeniable southern charm come into play for Billy Reid’s latest collection. Crafting a wardrobe that easily transitions from a casual uniform to the detailing of Sunday’s best, Billy Reid crafts a smart selection of high-waist trousers, v-necks and tailored jackets that balance out an easygoing mix of denim and tousled shirting.

Churning out a class list of high in demand model personalities, Request helps their boys showcase their best angles for the upcoming fashion week. With little help necessary in that department, Request leads with power houses that have managed to carve out a niche in the industry for themselves. When it comes to the editorial, no model comes close to Yuri Pleskun, who has taken all the magazines by storm, ranging from Vogue Italia and 10 Men to Love. Meanwhile, Cole Mohr has outlasted the Hedi era, managing to embrace both a quirky and serious side…Valentino easily comes to mind. On the other end of the spectrum, David Agbodji has become synonymous with Calvin Klein, while the quiet but strong manner of Roy Pratt and other Request boys attract the attention of photographers like David Armstrong. Rounding out a great showing, new talents like Micky Ayoub stand to take the week by storm, whether it is racking in the show bookings or guaranteeing those editorials that are bound to be shot soon.

Roy Pratt is a regular when it comes to the pages of magazines. He had his first appearance in Dazed & Confused, soon after, he was featured in Vogue Hommes Japan, GQ Style, Details, Hero, Black Book, Wonderland and VMAN. Roy became the face of Hazzys, Barney’s, and United Colors of Benetton for the Spring/Summer 2010 season. He has also walked for Giuliano Fujiwara, Rad Hourani, Phillip Lim, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Richard Chai and Thom Browne.
