
Simon Nessmon was discovered when his friend sent his photos to a modeling agency. He has since become one of the faces of Givenchy, appearing in their campaigns since Fall/Winter 2008. This Canadian appeared in an impressive amount of campaigns including Ralph Lauren Rugby, Benetton, Barneys, John Galliano Underwear, Gap, Versace, D&G, Antony Morato and Blanco. Simon has also been featured in many editorials including one in Vogue Paris alongside singer Ciara.

American Splendor–Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci looked to the stars and stripes to dress his uniform for the season. Minotaurs tamed, Givenchy’s men paraded down the runway with decorated hoop in nose. From somber black ensembles, dressed with a version of the American flag to skirts and knits adorned with stars, the season’s theme came loud and strong. Revisiting past collections and borrowing their standout pieces, ranging from leggings to boots, the new factor was limited, but embellishment in full effect. Embracing an earthy brown, Givenchy toiled with mosaic prints when not running its gamble through red, blue and white. Encrusted with studs, sequins and stars, the convergence of sharp tailoring and sportswear was at once the same Givenchy of recent memory that has dominated the hiphop landscape.

Structurally Sound–Designer Italo Zucchelli delivers another technical lineup for Calvin Klein Collection’s fall/winter 2012 season. Combining elements of relaxed tailoring with a sporty attitude, long boxy silhouettes distinguish outerwear, cut from leather and nylon. Insulated for the cold, quilted jackets join a range of layered short-sleeved tops, paired with sweaters. Dressed with geometric graphics, the collection eventually makes a departure from the modern classics for an edgy touch of leather, adorning pants and blazer jackets for a strong finish.

Urbanscape–Simon Nessman is recruited by H&M once more, this time around for their Divided lineup. Taking pieces from the spring/summer 2012 collection for an urban stroll, colorful pieces with youthful phrases are employed. Cut from jersey, shorts, hooded jackets and other garments come together for a relaxed showing.
