After a season’s break, Alexander McQueen returns to the runway with the usual theatrics subdued. Tightly wound to create tension, the enigmatic collection sets the stage with intense camouflage, balaclavas and drastic silhouettes. Appearing as if doused in a spontaneous yet rhythmic sequence of prints, McQueen breathes life into a mysterious character that brings with him uncertainty and excitement. The results are a playful mix of unorthodox shapes that capture McQueen’s genius and imagination, while also coinciding harmoniously with the collection’s more grounded pieces. Altogether, Mcqueen’s fall outing adds a generous vitality to suiting and outerwear through prints, before progressing forward with boxy cuts, textured inserts and layered proportions.

VMAN’s sixteenth issue barely came out last month and now VGL tips us off on a preview of an editorial from their upcoming February issue. Getting together a gang of guys for a laid-back shoot that has a vintage vibe, photographer Collier Schorr is aided by the styling of Victorinox designer Pierre-Henri Mattout. It is with his help that AJ Abualrub, Paolo Anchisi, Roy Pratt, Vladimir Ivanov, Giorgos Tsetis, Jerome Wyvekens and Steffan Wang turn out a low-key summer editorial.

Photographed for an editorial where the pig is dominant, the wide range of emotions and scenes acted out by AJ Abualrub and Steffen Weng in Markus Pritzi’s latest editorial for Feld Hommes is left up to the interpretation of the viewer. Whether a statement of strength, greed or laziness, Isabelle Thiry makes the incorporation of unorthodox garments and accessories appear effortless.

Photographed a month ago in New York, the talented lot includes Michael Whittaker, Niels Raabe, Steffen Weng, Frankie Elliss-Galati, Marcus Lloyd, Mark Cox and Marteinn Jonsson.

Steffen Weng has his friend to thank for encouraging him to become a model. The German-born became an instant phenomenon, walking for Givenchy and Romain Kremer in his debut season in spring 2010. Since, Steffen has walked for Smalto, Phillip Lim and Alexander McQueen. Editorial bookings came as a thing of second nature for Steffen.
