As Sarah Burton searches for her own vision at Alexander McQueen, the label’s man takes a stumble, somewhere in between the quintessential British style the fashion sect had grown accustomed to and a dramatic war character born from film. Crafting the classic suit of slender proportions at one spectrum and oversize silhouettes at the opposite end, Burton showcased a myriad of ideas that shed light on whats to come for McQueen’s man – the unexpected blended with references to the label’s rich history.

Approaching the fall 2011 season with endless color and exaggerated proportions, Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey looked to a coat for all seasons. Creating his very own weather boy, Bailey’s outerwear stole the show as usual. Embracing the unexpected, the 60’s provided the inspiration for slick raincoats, quilted finishes and a rainbow of checks. Gathering pleats and reworking tweed, Bailey once again delivered an easily cool showing for a timeless label.

d1 models Thomas Penfound, Harvey Haydon, Alex Bennett and Rajeen sign on for a fun shoot with photographer and Fiasco creator Vincent Nord.

A new label bursts through for the spring season with a genuine sense of humor and an inquisitive eye for menswear. Blending great construction with playful proportions, Agi&Sam showcase their latest collection with a fantastic lookbook featuring d1 model Thomas Penfound photographed by Luke Stephenson. Guided by a bold new vision, designers Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton take their joined experience working at Alexander McQueen and look to pop culture for inspiration. Inspired by the popularized skew of Native American life presented in movies such as Sergio Leon’s 1968 film, Once Upon a Time in the West, the duo were moved to create a collection that dissembles these references for a modern range with spunk. Entitled The Native American Colonisation of European States, the collection ingeniously takes on a simple silhouette that evolves into an engaging range of accessible separates with an intriguing display of color and kaleidoscopic prints.
