Laid-back Moment–The style of a skater was one point of reference for Luis Fernandez when he was creating the NUMBER:Lab spring 2012 collection. That coupled with the mood of the French Riviera in the thirties manifested itself in a layered athletic-inspired menswear that while color blocked at times included more than a few prints. One graphic black and white print came courtesy of a collaboration with artist Joseph La Piana. Board shorts, cadet jackets, blazers and tank tops rounded out the majority of the collection.

Seaside Coloring–Bold color with a slightly relaxed fit dictated the latest offering from Nautica. On the backs of models like Chad White, Cory Bond and Garrett Neff, the nautical-based brand offered up polos, board shorts and more than its fair share of sharp tailored blazers. Chinos received a shot of color as did jackets, coats and a selection of carryalls that were presented as accessories. With an eye towards the unpredictability of weather as of late, the collection also contained a cowl necked sweater as well as a few heavier coats, ready for any predicament.
