New York Model Management–Among the usual suspects who have proven to be casting favorites, ranging from Alexander Johansson and Philipp Bierbaum to Charlie France, New York Model Management gets a fresh boost this season with several hot commodities fresh off the runway from Milan and Paris. Racking up shows left and right this month, Andrey Smidl comes out on top as one to watch, followed by new faces Onnys Aho, Todd Taylor and Jordan Postrel.

With photographer Jason Nocito behind the camera, the boys have a little fun in a mix of sharp suiting and casual fall wears.

Although washed denim shirts and wrinkled leather jackets are rugged in attitude, the UK-label employs a more streamlined silhouette and precision tailoring with outerwear of minimal detailing and a color palette of demure tones.

paris fashion week is nearly here and all the models have gathered in town for castings before heading to milan fashion week and coming back to paris on time for the shows …
since a couple of days already i kept seeing models everywhere in the metro and the streets until this morning when i suddenly had the idea to play some kind of paparazzo and follow the guys going from castings to castings to make some sort of photo report, an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ story at the men’s paris fashion week castings for the fashionisto ! i immediately phoned some friends at one of the paris model agencies and got the list of castings for the day; by that time i had unfortunately already missed the opportunity to spot the guys at yves saint laurent and louis vuitton, but
mugler, lanvin and cerruti were still possible targets for my 1st day of model ‘hunting’ …
after a couple of hours walking between the different casting places, waiting for my preys to show up, the result was quite satisfying with some of the biggest names from the international runways and magazines such as jacob coupe, arthur daniyarov, alexander johansson, marcel castenmiller, harry wakefield, paul boche, mat gordon, linus gustin, james smith, benoni loos, ty akintayo, jakob hybholt, johannes linder etc, along with new faces laszlo ricciardi, sascha weissenborn, corentin renault, ollie greb or seb amongst others … -
On the Flip Side–Photographed by Jason Nocito, Ty Akintayo (New York Model Management) and Matthew Hitt (Wilhelmina) appear in the July 2011 issue of Nylon Guys. Delivering a chaotic spread, the guys have fun in a youthful wardrobe pulled from the likes of Versace, Lanvin and Marc by Marc Jacobs with styling by J. Ty Akintayo was sent down numerous runways in spring 2010, setting off a chain of designer followers. He has walked for Yves Saint Laurent, Missoni, Giuliano Fujiwara, Junya Watanabe, Hermés and Z Zegna, among others. He picked up a Firetrap campaign along the way in the same season. Ty has appeared in the pages of Dansk and Vogue Hommes International.
