Robert Geller Fall 2011 | Mercedes-​​Benz Fashion Week

The films of Luchino Vis­conti serve as the inspi­ra­tion of Robert Geller’s fall 2011 col­lec­tion. Seek­ing to trans­late a rich style of com­po­si­tion into an easy wardrobe of sep­a­rates, fall’s range brings images of ele­gance into the mod­ern age with Geller’s sig­na­ture cuts and crafts­man­ship. Reflect­ing Visconti’s world with luxe leather fin­ishes and inescapable pieces rang­ing from waist­coats and jack­ets to trousers, the col­lec­tion still man­aged to show a lit­tle raw edge. Show­ing a youth­ful hand, denim, stud­ded acces­sories and lounge-​​cut trousers made the unex­pected state­ment in a col­lec­tion that was no doubt in the Geller vein, but also a break with the expected for a sea­son of intrigue.
