Willy Cartier has already become a Givenchy favorite as a new face. He appeared in the Givenchy Fall/Winter 2010 campaign and walked the Spring/Summer 2011 show. Willy is among the large cast featured in United Colors of Benetton’s Fall/Winter 2010 campaign. He is best known for his androgynous look and long hair.

Request–Turning to photographer Stefani Pappas once more to capture the creative for this season’s show package, Request lends their boys a little edge with a subway shoot – not that they need it. With regular bad boys Yuri Pleskun and Cole Mohr available for the fashionable plunge, Request keeps their board in top shape. There’s the always popular David Agbodji, the strapping Arthur Kulkov as well as standout up and comers, ranging from Misa Patinszki to Baptiste Radufe. Add to the mix, a fast-rising Jesse Shannon or recent Request recruit Willy Cartier and you have an agency packing solid muscle, the fashion variety if course.

Arena del Dabio–Photographer Nicolas Valois continues his series of films for Soon International with a new chapter starring Nathalie model Daniel Vojtech alongside Success’ Willy Cartier. Styled by Rene Gloor, the intense pair explore the power dynamics of matador and bull. / Style assistance by Benedicte Flom. Hair by Frederic Taglia with makeup by Audrey Gautier. Photo assistance by Anthony Parisey and Samuel Girard.

The Journey–Damir Doma’s loose silhouettes are treated to an exotic makeover, courtesy of an expedition that takes in rich prints and lush fabrics for the new season. Adorned with beads and dressed in tribal prints, Doma’s man reigned supreme with a certain entrapment. Belting jackets and layering with loose overcoats, sharp ensembles packed quite the bold punch before trimming down for a blackout. Turning to a quiet and focused dimension, militant garments filled a void for the fitted. Demonstrating a hand for both structure and swift draping, Damir Doma’s latest collection married the subdued to the extravagant for a striking fall/winter 2012 outing.

American Splendor–Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci looked to the stars and stripes to dress his uniform for the season. Minotaurs tamed, Givenchy’s men paraded down the runway with decorated hoop in nose. From somber black ensembles, dressed with a version of the American flag to skirts and knits adorned with stars, the season’s theme came loud and strong. Revisiting past collections and borrowing their standout pieces, ranging from leggings to boots, the new factor was limited, but embellishment in full effect. Embracing an earthy brown, Givenchy toiled with mosaic prints when not running its gamble through red, blue and white. Encrusted with studs, sequins and stars, the convergence of sharp tailoring and sportswear was at once the same Givenchy of recent memory that has dominated the hiphop landscape.

Breaking the Fourth Wall–Jean Paul Gaultier smacks against a brick wall for the fall/winter 2012 season and the results are fantastic. With dress universes colliding as usual for the designer, the collection finds its voice in the culmination of dapper elegance, rural simplicity and urban decadence. Beginning the show with suiting and sportswear blended seamlessly together and dressed in a striking brick print, Gaultier spent the remainder of the collection demonstrating that glitz can co-exist with everyday function. From tattooed shirting and camouflaged suiting separates to more common garments such as the hooded sweatshirt, Jean Paul Gaultier delivered character in spades, laced with substance and style.
