From early tal­ent scout to cast­ing direc­tor, Daniel Ped­dle has dis­tin­guished him­self as one of New York’s pre­mier cast­ing direc­tors. Explor­ing con­cepts of beauty on the inter­na­tional stage, Ped­dle has found a cre­ative medium in the paint­ing. Cre­at­ing water­col­ors based on back­stage images, Ped­dle offers the model up as a sac­ri­fi­cial lamb. Left to the mercy of the indus­try to fit demand­ing images given to the alter or run­way, Ped­dle cap­tures the behind the scenes chaos, whether it is Jethro Cave mak­ing an ugly face or Simon Ness­man get­ting those final touchups. A selec­tion of Peddle’s work is being housed for an instal­la­tion at Envoy Enter­prises, begin­ning March 16, 2010 at 6:00 P.M.
