H&M has let the cat out of the bag. This fall, Jimmy Choo is sure to turn things around after the less than stellar turnout for Matthew Williamson. Debuting November 14, 2009, Jimmy Choo’s H&M collaboration will include a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories. Jimmy Choo’s founder and president, Tamara Mellon expressed, “We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection – the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night.” Now, this fall, you too can wear your prized Jimmys!

“What I often see is that people are frightened of fashion, and because it scares them or makes them feel insecure…they try to put it down.“
– Anna Wintour on being ridiculed so often.
Thursday night saw the screening of one of Sundance Film Festival’s most discussed documentaries, The September Issue, as part of the Sydney Film Festival.
While there are scheduled release dates, there were none listed for Australia, so I was naturally chuffed to be able to grab a ticket and head along to see it in advance.
The movie itself focuses on Anna Wintour, as chief editor of US Vogue, as well as stylist extraordinaire Grace Coddington, whose undeniably stunning spreads have the ability to instantly transport readers to parallel universes where everyone parades about on lavish movie sets and is comfortable in couture.

Gareth Pugh is a no-show for Paris’ Spring 2010 Men’s Fashion Week, but he will be showing in October. How about Dior Homme?
The word from Pugh’s camp is: “There is no involvement with Dior Homme, nor has there ever been – LVMH have merely shown an interest in his talents .”
So, one is left to wonder…how exactly are things over at Dior Homme?

Gareth Pugh is rumored to be a no-show at Paris’s spring 2010 men’s fashion week. Subsequent to his menswear bevy being debuted for Fall 2009, a spokesperson for Pugh added that the debut was simply ‘a device to launch menswear.’ And though, we’re all longing to see a trail of tailored, yet clean-goth men parade down a runway — Pugh puts everyone at ease, for he will show select menswear pieces come October, during Paris Fashion Week for womenswear.

While other designers have been opting out of runway shows the last two seasons, menswear and womenswear designer Alexis Mabille is doing just the opposite. The Lyon-born designer will be staging his first menswear only show during Paris Fashion Week. [We Are The Market]
