The Online Nod–No stranger to the internet, Milan powerhouse, Dolce & Gabbana recently opened their first online store. The eStore, which was opened in collaboration with YOOX, is available in seven different languages via computer, mobile device and social networks. YOOX has been the brand’s global e-commerce partner since 2009. The new eStore will take an editorial approach to digital merchandising: the product catalogue interface will be flanked by a “shop-by-look” pagination with the visual impact of a magazine. Photos can be viewed in 360° and videos are integrated in the product cards. This project is the last step of the brand’s emotional and editorial strategy in the digital world and represents at the highest levels, Dolce&Gabbana’s deep commitment to the social and anthropological aspects of the net revolution. The eStore will open for China on August 8, 2011. The designers also sat down with Imran Ahmed of Business Of Fashion to discuss technology, social media, and their brand. / View the entire interview here.
