Boys on Film–If we went back to school, we’d likely be that annoying overachiever and we wouldn’t have it any other way. With a special thanks above all to our photographer for the day, Nikolai de Vera and the agencies who provided the talent, ADAM, Aim, DNA, Ford, Fusion, Major, New York Models, Next, Q, Red, Request, Soul and Wilhelmina, here’s a grand sampling of our favorite boys of the season: Paul Boche, Chris Garcia, RJ King, Erik Sage, Chris Colton, Leebo Freeman, Miles McMillan, Adnan Djinovic, Maxwell Ronko, Luka Badnjar, Lowell Tautchin, Chris Arundel, Elvis Jankus, Francisco Lachowski, Baptiste Radufe, Jordan Torres, Joao Zavaski, Julian Sapala, Eden Classens, Chris Petersen, Lance R, Roy Pratt, John Tuite, Benoni Loos, Zach King, Louis Mayhew, Jae Yoo, Reinaldo Berthoti, Matthew Hitt, Brett Staal, Colt Maldonado, Glenn Galleghan, Jacob Morton, Kaylan Falgoust, Alexander Beck, Mario Skaric, Jackson, Connor Stanley, Bastien Bonizec, Jake Gordon, Jed Texas, Eryck Laframboise, Sen Mitsuji, Dale Toogood, Lucas Goossens, Rob Evans, Matt Giesler, Samuel Farrier, Louis Galloway, Adrian Cardoso, Sebastian Sauve, Berthold Rothas, Vincent Banic, Brennen Steines, Joe Hartmann, Cesar Chiang, Luis Borges, Arthur Devalbray, Brian Redford, Petter Hedman, Austin Hall, Rich Stinger, John R, Hampus Luck, Seven, Thiago Santos, Jordan and Zac Stenmark.

Newbs & Blonds–Sixty-six models later, we made it to the final hour. First was Paul Boche. Two castings in toll and somehow he is on a plane headed somewhere every time a shoot is around the corner, so any time is appreciated with one of our favorite blond models. Then there’s Leebo Freeman, after a year of circuit editorials, Hollywood called and somehow the budding star still made it back to New York for fashion week. Before the dynamite personality slips through town again, we must make a note to get a shoot done or two. Finally, we don’t know what it is about Ford boys, but they are so cool and refreshed. New kids on the block Brennen Steines and Joe Hartmann made the journey over. Both delightful if course and Joe made us chuckle with a review of a lovely outing shopping around the neighborhood. Representative of a roster of fresh Ford talent, we cannot wait to get in the studio, the two definitely left a lasting impression. / Photos by Nikolai de Vera.

Afternoon Stretch–Funny, as we came to our last couple of boys, the pairings seemed to fall in place well. Our afternoon round saw choice models with quite the distinctive features. From an old world flair, exhibited by Chris Arundel (if he leaves New York too soon, we may just have to travel the globe) to Sebastian Sauvé’s acclaimed pout, we had a unique offering in front of us. A vision when still or a riot when on the move (lifting spare weights anyone?), Sebastian as always was the breath of fresh air. Vincent Banic caught our attention this past June in Europe so it was a pleasure to see him make the rounds in New York. Belgian and set to rule the scene with piercing blue eyes, Vincent was hot on the heels of fellow Fusion model, Berthold Rothas. Always a ball to have around and effortless in front of the camera, it’s a shame, it was not a shoot day – maybe next time. / Photos by Nikolai de Vera.

Tick Tock–Nearing the end of an ambitious day of casting, our latest four were no doubt a pick-me-up. Lowell Tautchin, who we last saw in February, since has rocketed, shooting campaigns for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lanvin and Topman. Really coming out of his shell, Lowell is quite the pleasure, even when he doesn’t bring his trademark hat along for the journey. Hopefully a future shoot will not disappoint. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina seems to have answered our fashion prayers, bringing quite the number of new faces to our arena. This time around it was Luka Badnjar, who in fact has a face you cannot believe, especially when you see him skateboard away. It’s easy to see while the Success import has been a favorite this past year in Europe and now is a refreshing addition to the city. Then there is Adrian Cardoso and Louis Galloway, both who have made the trek our way before and we must say, it’s always pleasant to see a familiar face and catch up, if course. World travelers, the pair strutted their stuff on the European catwalks, returning to the city just in time for endless castings that will no doubt result in new content to grace our pages. Thanks guys! / Photos by Nikolai de Vera.

Sweet Escape–Mr. Rob Evans led the next heat. Blowing up over the past year, taking on leading campaign efforts for both Calvin Klein and Givenchy, Rob, still very much with his head firmly planted on his shoulders, has a certain spark when he walks in a room. Then there was the friendly, note happy-go-lucky Samuel Farrier. It was a long day as models bounced from casting to casting, but no exhaustion here, a bright bolt of energy and a presence to remember. Next up was Baptiste Radufe, the French fresh face who took the shows in Europe by storm and came to do the same in New York. From a coveted new face to prime castings, one of our new favorites stole the season with Nicholas K, General Idea, Richard Chai and numerous other shows under his belt. Fourth in (and with a funny story we’ll save for later), Matt Giesler simply has one of those faces, sharp on the features, classic and ready for an expensive suit or two (cue the to-shoot list). / Photos by Nikolai de Vera.
