“Recession, Depression, Expression…” Pete Versus Toby Fall 2009

Pete Ver­sus Toby’s lat­est col­lec­tion addresses the reces­sion head on. “Designer Marco Zirov has col­lab­o­rated with Byron Bay art­sists Lex Williams and Raina Hede to develop an in house win­ter range that jux­ta­poses the falling Roman Empire (USA) with Roth­schild fam­ily inspired sketches. Through devel­op­ing the diverse range, a study of drug use and its effects on an artist was also impor­tant.” The fall col­lec­tion includes Japan­ese silk sweaters, leather jack­ets in mul­ti­ple col­or­ways and organic cot­ton t-​​shirts. The col­or­ful tongue-​​in-​​cheek col­lec­tion will be car­ried in thirty stores through­out Aus­tralia, New Zealand, and Japan.
