Runway to Lookbook: Duckie Brown Spring 2009

When I orig­i­nally viewed Duckie Brown’s spring col­lec­tion this past Sep­tem­ber, I liked the indi­vid­ual pieces, but not how they were styled.  Then, I could not wrap my mind around what the styl­ist could have pos­si­bly been think­ing, but now see­ing the col­lec­tion again, the styling does not appear as severe.  Maybe, it is because of the grow­ing trend of ath­letic inspired menswear. RE: Topman’s spring MAN show. The Paris and Milan fall/​winter shows are around the cor­ner and I get the feel­ing that Duckie Brown’s spring col­lec­tion just might be the blue­print for next fall’s trends.  Think more leg­gings and sil­hou­ettes derived from wind­break­ers,  jog­ging suits, etc.  In other words, gym wear meet high fashion.
