The Delightful Tide–Washed out but nevertheless striking, the boys of Diesel Black Gold arrived for an aquatic affair brought to land. From oversize, loose outerwear to metallic pants, paired with more formal pieces, Diesel brought an interesting vision to life with a sharp number of ensembles, narrowed down for precision. However small the showing, treated leather, cropped jackets and halved sleeves, zipped or unzipped provided a feast for the eyes with a number of standout garments for the upcoming season.

Strict Order–Zero + Maria Cornejo tread the minimalist line for a sharp spring 2012 showing, featuring a sampling of impeccable ensembles. Rounding hems and relaxing the structure of spring’s garments, a neutral color palette is transformed into a vibrant presentation of character and print for a smart refined outing.

Back to the Stage–Fusing the near-retro casualness of the country with the sleepy attitude of beach towns, Michael Bastian returns to the catwalk after a season off. Dressing his man for a season of leisure, Bastian’s typical preppy aesthetic is married with the laid-back essence of summer staples, ranging from board shorts and open shirts to denim. Still maintaining a degree of sharpness, the easy showing was completed with a selection of fine essentials that tackled charming knits and tailored suiting alike.

The Traveler of Leisure–Perry Ellis sends their man on a relaxing getaway for the spring 2012 season. Employing a soft color palette of pastels and neutrals alike, linens as well as easy cottons come together for a collection of leisure. From field jackets and relaxed pleated trousers to a generous helping of light-weight knits, the man of Perry Ellis was ready for an exotic adventure. Traversing the sands and taking in the surrounding, yellow, orange and cobalt became part of the season tapestry to finish out a well-grounded collection for the contemporary man of mode.

Life of the Party–In a season about prep and pop art brought to life, Marc by Marc Jacobs delivers at the top of his class. Mature, but fun at the same time, semi-fitted silhouettes play with brightly colored suiting, while easy shorts and shirting options mesh with gym time. Marked by a turning point of a classic gray sweatshirt, furnished with a modern cut, the collection has an element of joy with infectious prints to accent another distinctly smart outing from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Lounge Daze–A maven when it comes to prints, Timo Weiland works his magic for an infectious spring 2012 outing. Hitting the catwalk this time around, Weiland manages a palette of subdued colors with a joyful appetite. Exuding a relaxed sophistication with separates that range from easy jackets and loose shorts to semi-relaxed outerwear, it’s a picnic at the park for the happy spring character.
