Trussardi 1911 cel­e­brates a cen­ten­nial of cel­e­brated fash­ions with Milan Vukmirovic’s lat­est efforts for the label being shown at Pitti Uomo. Pay­ing trib­ute to Trussardi 1911’s tech­ni­cal achieve­ments and fine legacy in crafts­man­ship, Vuk­mirovic looks to leather and other lux­u­ri­ous fab­rics to define the direc­tion of his fall 2011 col­lec­tion. Look­ing to cre­ate wear­able gar­ments with a con­tem­po­rary vision, t-​​shirts, vests, trousers, parkas and other stand­bys get a revamp as luxe mate­ri­als go mod­ern. From a relaxed suede top and ribbed lamb pon­cho to a new take on cam­ou­flage, Trussardi 1911’s man moves for­ward with a clean streamlined-​​look that pro­vides a mas­cu­line edge with a hint of fragility.

Ana Locking Spring 2011 | Insides

Ana Lock­ing explores Insides for her spring 2011 out­ing. Look­ing to show a mar­riage between emo­tional insides and phys­i­cal insides, Lock­ing looked to her sig­na­ture palette of bright col­ors, paired with printed pho­tographs of the human body. Cre­at­ing fluid shapes and embrac­ing a touch of sheen, the col­lec­tion traces the human body from blood and mucus to flesh for a fresh spin on menswear.
