Karlota Laspalas is a Spanish designer from Barcelona. For her fall 2009 collection entitled “Wood Do Wow”, Laspalas seeks to reclaim the beauty of simplicity and a certain naturalness. Drawn to earthy colors and the imperfections of nature, Laspalas drapes loose monochromatic numbers that have ample space for living. While high waist pants are oversize and cinched at the waist, the dress shirt is revamped for a minimal yet intriguing silhouette that falls in line with the collection’ many integrable separates. Slouchy and conveying a worn-in feel, Laspalas delivers a collection that is as stylish as it is comforting.

Entitled “Classic Never Die, But Desire New Classic”, the latest collection from Ossa Mondo, takes traditional symbols of sophistication and lends them a casual urban vibe. Houndstooth is used boldly in a way that evokes images of classic labels like Chanel, while fur is downplayed in the form of hooded sweatshirts. Meanwhile, ripped denim and leggings are thrown into the mix for a contemporary look on point with the times. As usual, Ossa Mondo has fun with their collection, turning out yet another range that is stylish, carefree and youthful.
