Awakened from a strangely calming death, Obscur designer Richard Söderberg pieces together a new Narratif for the spring 2011 season. With little to no trace of the expected human identity, Söderberg’s garments manifest the individual in dark layers of washed lamb leather and long exposed knits. Propelled by both the softened and hardened aspects of the collection’s silhouettes or better yet interactions, Obscur’s latest collection comes together as an experience for the wearer to learn from and incorporate into the fabric that is their life.

A new label bursts through for the spring season with a genuine sense of humor and an inquisitive eye for menswear. Blending great construction with playful proportions, Agi&Sam showcase their latest collection with a fantastic lookbook featuring d1 model Thomas Penfound photographed by Luke Stephenson. Guided by a bold new vision, designers Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton take their joined experience working at Alexander McQueen and look to pop culture for inspiration. Inspired by the popularized skew of Native American life presented in movies such as Sergio Leon’s 1968 film, Once Upon a Time in the West, the duo were moved to create a collection that dissembles these references for a modern range with spunk. Entitled The Native American Colonisation of European States, the collection ingeniously takes on a simple silhouette that evolves into an engaging range of accessible separates with an intriguing display of color and kaleidoscopic prints.

William Richard Green disrupts the expected to present a new spin on the nautical motif. Looking beyond the surface for inspiration, a peppy yellow gives way to a dark collection that relishes in the less than attractive elements of the ocean with scales and a mix of proportions providing the canvas for a meeting of aesthetics. Whereas boy-cut shorts offer an endearing quality, mesh inserts and textured leggings lend Green’s latest outing a surprising edge.

Following an early look at his upcoming spring collection, Asger Juel Larsen offers a complete look at the new lineup with a lookbook featuring featuring Conor Macklin photographed by Ellis Scott. Finding his latest inspiration in the 1930’s warship boiler rooms, prints and textures come together in an interesting fashion that adds a certain softness to Larsen’s usually raw image of masculinity.
