Lagom Spring 2011 | Stockholm Fashion Week
Adventuring outside their comfort zone, Lagom’s inspiration for spring’s collection was found in Kenya. Imagining a Nairobi dawn, the label built a strong color palette of Masai Red, Green Lagoon, Savannah Yellow and other vibrant colors. Further inspired by wild animals and fabrics from Kenya as well as Tanzania, the season excitedly gets underway with elaborate prints and a clean structured wardrobe of subtly tweaked details. Ranging from cropped cardigans and asymmetrical paneling to wrapped elements, Lagom infuses the season with the unexpected and comes out on top with an intriguing new dawn.

Taking a more relaxed approach than last season, The Local Firm reveals a somber collection for spring. Largely monochrome, the latest range goes casual with cement-colored hues and ensembles that appear thrown together in haste. From unstructured blazers and baggy trousers to loose knits, The Local Firm tackles the upcoming season with nonchalance and paints a laid-back picture of the label’s streetwear-inspired man.
Nakkna Spring 2011 | Stockholm Fashion Week
A walk in the clouds sets the mood for Nakkna’s Stockholm showing this season. Their fifteenth collection to date, the label showcased a unisex range that took to soft grays and black for a minimalist showcase of extended proportions. Juxtaposing their signature draping with abstract prints, Nakkna left the season with an exposed array of no-fuss essentials unique to the label.
Lars Andersson Spring 2011
Linen and lace lay the foundations for a sensitive season from Lars Andersson. Serving up a mix of loose and fitted ensembles, elongated silhouettes lend Andersson’s spring collection an elevated stature. Layering cropped pieces with their opposites, a balance of varying proportions creates a soft range of skillfully weaved separates for the modern man.
Makin Jan Ma Spring 2011 | Felix Branch as J.Sky
Following closely in the footsteps of Guts, J.Sky is the latest character to be released from Makin Jan Ma’s upcoming spring line. Whereas Guts presented an outspoken character, J.Sky, also known as Jody Sky, Jody Boy or just plain Sky represents the complete opposite, possessing a general cool that makes him a generally laid-back guy. Originally from Ohio, Sky is parts British and Polish. Rebelling against a religious upbring, Sky founded a successful Polish porn site at the age of 16. Since, he has traveled the world, incorporating pieces from his adventures into his eclectic wardrobe. Casual, but interesting, J.Sky stands out with a unique sense of style that feels indefinitely him.
Stolen Girlfriends Club Summer 2010⁄11 | Heavy Petal
Hot on the heels of spring’s extended trip to the beach, Stolen Girlfriends Club puts the heavy prints away and looks to the summer with light layers of silk organza, georgette and cotton. Classic in terms of color, but youthful with frayed denim and sheer fabrics, the New Zealand label takes the high summer by storm with an element of grunge and a quirky sense of refinement.
