Sneak Peak — Matthew Williamson For H&M

mw Sneak Peak Matthew Williamson For H&M

UPDATE — H&M has requested for the pictures to be taken down.  So, what did you miss?

  • Gray leather (likely faux) jacket with studs
  • Bright green cutoff shorts with studs
  • Graphic shirts — think stained glass
  • Patterned piping on suit
  • f&m

love the blog! the suiting looks promising but i am not feeling most of the casual stuff.

  • Ryan

Amazing!! Green cutoffs with studding!! I must have them.

  • joseph

    disappointing

  • NMI

i’m crazy for the studded jacket.

  • Justin

If I were doing color this season this stuff would be pretty kewl. However, if there were to be a full size picture of that outfit to the right of the tux, I would modify my wardrobe :).

  • http://alternativeprince.blogspot.com Darren

yeah the studded jacket is pretty cool for a H&M piece.

  • http://blog.djpremium.com Keesean

looks incredible. any idea of the price point?

  • Alex

Matthew Williamson is amazing, i have always admired his use of exotic prints and colours. The fact that he has made a menswear collection is beyond belief. I love every single piece in the pics, it is totally up my street. I work in one of the larger h&m stores and have seen a few collections over the years and this is the most exciting one. Most of the time with the mens collections you end up with the same rubbish, a suit, some ordinary shirts and a really nice mac coat. But here they have totally mixed it up and is much more appealing.

  • http://thefashionisto.com Carl

I have a feeling that the prices will be between $40-$200.

  • Richard

I am surprised that H&M doesn’t like the promotion their getting from The Fashionisto, maybe they are totally clueless about the current trends in Fashion, they should do more research, in today’s economic crisis, and all the changes, 40% of Buyers will buy a product if they see it on a Blog! Yes that is true, on a blog, check out the New York Times report on this, google it to find out! The readers of Fashionisto are very upscale, we have the money to buy H&M products, we are not poor people as we are very fashion savvy as we read an upscale Fashion Blog. H&M owes us an apology, they should be happy and super thankful that they are published on a very reputable Fashion blog like The Fashionisto, industry readers, CEO’s of top Fashion companies are regular readers of The Fashionisto, we are your market, if The Fashionisto published your work, H&M should be very thankful and super grateful because it means that The Fashionisto recognizes the quality and design of their products, they got to remember, if they want their products to hide, put it on blogs, show it off to everyone, don’t hide it. The Readers of The Fashionisto are very upscale, we are not poor, we have the money to buy H&M products. I am boycotting H&M and I totally offended that they did not appreciate that they are published at The Fashionisto. It is a super honor to see their brands at The Fashionisto! Again to H$&M the readers of The Fashionisto are your TARGET BUYERS. We are not poor. We can afford your products, why DENY us the opportunity to see your products? By being on the Fashionisto, you get FREE PUBLICITY, Free Google ranking, Free access to the UPSCALE readers of The Fashionisto. Please check your marketing strategy, Google what New york times is saying, 40% of Buyers are actually Blog readers, they buy when they see the products endorsed on Blog! The hiding techniques, copyright issues are nonsense. you are getting free promotion on the Fashionisto which is one of the TOP FASHION BLOG IN THE WORLD!

  • Richard

Just a typo correction.…“if they want their products to hide” I mean.…“If you are selling a product online why hide it?????” Why deny us the opportunity to see it? I know H&M would say copyright issues. but the issue is, isnt it that you want your product to be BOUGHT? The readers of The Fashionisto H&M mind you is not POOR. We have the MONEY to buy your products. We Know FASHION than anybody else!!!!

  • Richard

Ok, I know this too much…but I am just so upset because I used to like H&M products, I just thought that they are MEDIA FRIENDLY but they are not! I hate myself for buying their products! I should have known better. I just can’t accept that they are not happy that they are endorsed at The Fashionisto, I mean, I will buy their product if I see it endorsed at a Reputable blog like The Fashionisto, it is an insult on me as a buyer because its like they are telling me…ok…I will hide my product from you, I don’t like you to see my product.…and that is so upsetting! Promotion. Promotion. Promotion. in all its forms create publicity. It increases google rankings, its all good! Specially The Fashionisto. I mean, this is not an ordinary BLOG, this is The Fashionisto, This is better than Details or GQ, This is a Very Upscale, very Respected and very Fashionable Blog. They should be paying The Fashionisto for even mentioning their products, because people like me depends on The Fashionisto for my buying behavior. So its really a big slap on my face when they want their items to be removed on the blog. That is so insulting. I will not definitely buy any H&M products from now on. I like my brand to be supportive and nice to Blogs and to anyone who endorses them. I mean the brand should be nice and super friendly. I am definitely not gonna buy their brand anymore. sorry for being honest and for really really sharing my thoughts, because it really hurts. I know I am making a big deal about this thing…to me..its a big deal. I love The Fashionisto. Its the BEST BLOG AROUND. It doesnt deserve to be treated like H&M treats it. I am not buying H&M ANYMORE.

  • Richard

Ok. I’m sorry, I just have to get this out of my system. I am sorry for being honest.

My final comment today: The Fashionisto ask.…“So what did you miss?”

My answer: I miss nothing. From now on, I will only buy brands that are nice to blogs, brands that are friendly to the blog readers as they should remember, we are not only blog readers but we have the mastercard, the visa, the discover, the paypal to BUY their product. very simple H&M, you need to train your pr and marketing staff cause with the strategy that you did with The Fashionisto, you create anger among your potential buyers. The Fashionisto is Read by THOUSANDS EVERYDAY. And thats a Thousand loss Sales!”

  • Maria Antuanetta

Hey, guys, why are you angry with H&M? They did, what they needed to do.. ‘cuz this collection is still not on sales, you can’t find it on their official website, and it’s gonna be on sales, if i’m correct, from May 5th. So.. they just didn’t want anyone to preview their collection. That’s the only point! Not because they are not a media friendly brand.
    Thank you.

  • Richard

Well Maria, we are no longer interested in whatever collections they have, you can see it yourself if your correct on May 5!
